Lya route - ca 22km

Start from the tourist information and turn left on Köpmansgatan. Turn right after the petrol station, onto Ängelsholmsvägen. Continue until you reach Lyavägen, where you turn left again. Continue on Lyavägen, which here makes a sharp right-turn, crossing the railway. Here is a rather steep hill up on Hallandsåsen. Stop and enjoy the amazing view over Båstad.

Turn left towards Östra Karup when reaching the intersection. After ca 1km you will arrive in the village of Lya. At the four-way intersection, turn right toward Brödalp. This is a winding road that partly goes through Älemosse. Here you will find a suitable place for a break.

The route continues, through farms and afforested areas, passing Hönalp and Brödalp. When you reach a three-way crossroad without any road signs, keep to the left. After ca 50mtrs the road splits in two. Here is a memorial monument for Backahuset 1682-1941. (There will be several similar monuments along this route). Continue on this road until reaching the E6 (highway), where you keep to the left. After ca 100mtr, turn left onto a smaller road toward Östra Karup. Turn left at the crossroad by the church, onto a larger road toward Östra Karup – Båstad. From here you can follow the cycle path to Båstad town.
