The road over Karup, at Svenstad right turn towards Elestorp. Straight ahead in Dejarp. Turn right next, towards Hovs Hallar. Here turn back to the crossroad and go towards Hallavara and then Haga, Kattvik and finally Norrviken.

After a stop and visit in Norrvikens Trädgårdar (the gardens of Norrviken), take a sharp right-turn onto the smaller road (toward Boarp) right outside the gates. Rather than taking the larger road, we prefer to make our way to the beautiful conservatory of Hovs Hallar on these picturesque smaller roads.

Hovs Hallar, with these powerful cliffs that divide the land of Bjäre from the sea, is one of the treasures of Bjäre peninsula. Within minutes the landscape changes from green and leafy farmland into these harsch edges that almost look like something from out of this world. No wonder the famous film directors Ingmar Bergman and Jan Troell chose this place for the shooting of films like “Sjunde inseglet”, “Ingenjör Andres luftfärd” and “Salka Valka”.
